Maze of Names

Something is not right here
Something has gone amiss
There are people everywhere!
But I cant see a thing

To blink is to open my eyes
split second viewing
All I see is names
Shall I choose one for my baby?
Or let them fall away with time

The trees are too silent
The earth is too fertile
The signposts are faded

The parchment is replaced
Now the map is unreadable
Does it really matter?
Can I go off the stars,
When it is daylight?

Behold! an alter from afar
Is a banquet table up close
adorning plinth with a trophy;
the triumph of one
one with nothing

I am lost in a maze of names
empty space now full
contained space now empty

lead me to my stage!
Where are the friendly ones!
Speak! I must speak
to my friends!

I am lost in a maze of names!
Your acrid curse haunts me under the moon
Even though it is day
I wade through the peat, snow and crushing dirt
to find your name!
Blessed beauty, reading your name
will fulfill me for eternity and cause
my rants
to cease!

Space no longer
Filled with dirt and organic matter
Fertilised

Only the wind brushes my hair
I look to the sky
New empty space!
Fresh and waiting for names
