Mixer

Once again im mixing lives
and im running out of masks
to paint them with

All the glorious promises
I heard and drank
Everything I gazed upon
I fell in love
where were you when the boat was sinking?
Next to me? on a raft?
or walking on the water

Open the wooden cupboard
hear it creak and moan
a naked body only hears the tunes
if warmth, cold, hunger and fear
cover it to hear what you want
playlist for free

All the running and arguing
all the focus on the right and correct
all the life on offer
all the costumes in the cupboard
masks waiting for paint

Looking for prestigious paths
Hiding in open glass jars
Draw your city in chalk
then put on your robes
to walk in

Marry yourself to smiles
create them if you will
bring along despair
and leave it with the bank

worship nothing and you will see
freedom! sea or land!
what makes this noble?

you know who is valued
each in our section of the pie

Don't eat too much!
your mask will be that of the clergy
you can float
but be on top

The gravedigger is unfortunately deaf
so before you flatter and amaze
think of your path
and prepare it accordingly
